Ana Roca Castro is a social entrepreneur, social media developer: iPhone, Twitter, Facebook Apps, CEO of Premier Social Media, founder of LATISM, Proud Latina, Mother and Wife.
Ana started her career at Columbia University where she managed technical projects for the School of Public Health. She then led the implementation of Oracle systems for the United Nations. In 2007, Ana started Premier Social Media to help businesses and organizations achieve their objectives via state-of-the-art transmedia development.
She has a particular passion for education and engagement through transmedia. She leads a team that developed two internal Social Networks, over 50 Facebook applications and social games, 68 iPhone/Android apps, more than 100 widgets and over a dozen Twitter Applications. Her client roster features Toshiba, Walmart, FedEx, the World Bank, Hersheys and Nickelodeon; and most recently, features the development of social games for the Department of Education.
Ana is a social entrepreneur and the founder of Latinos in Social Media #Latism, the largest organization of Latino professionals engaged in social media. She is also a serial entrepreneur, currently cooking Gigcoin, KidsFunPlaza, and iGiftThanks with amazing women who moved from partners to sisters.
Her most important role is that of mom to the Fantasticos4, three energetic and creative boys and a 2-year-old geek princess. Ana’s priority will always be to raise happy kids who see the beauty in diversity and understand the need to change the world – one cause per time.
